The 'house cocktails' served by circulating waitresses at the entrance and around the bar served as great aperitifs!

The vote:
Attendees were given a rusty nail to place in the ice bucket at the bartenders' stations serving our favorite cocktail creation!

The Showdown:

"Dram Smash" by Nick Giannotti of Flash's Cocktail Bar
-Drambuie, Rye Whiskey, Lemon, and Mint with Mint Leaf garnish.
--was refreshing but a tad too bitter for me as traditional whiskey smashes tend to be...

"A Crip Spring's Drambuie" by Steve Fallon of Flash's Cocktail Bar
-Drambuie, Bombay Sapphire, Noilly Prat Dry Vermouth, Cucumber, Lime, and a Cucumber wheel garnish.

Jen Harvey of Zocala

"Dramboozle" by Christina Sylvia of Back Bay Social Club
Tyler Wang

-Drambuie, Bombay Sapphire, Lemon juice, Honey simple syrup, Angostura bitters, & lemon peel zest.

Jamie Walsh of Stoddard's.  His creation had great color and flavors!

Dave Werthman:  Look at that technique!

Loved this cocktail!  Drambuie, Rittenhouse Rye, Handmade ginger water, Lemon Juice, Sassafras bitters

THE MOST Entertaining.  Asher Karnes!

Asher's simple and delicious creation..and I'm not even a beer fan!

We started with a few small plates to help us along:
*Creamy leek & asparagus risotto- while the risotto was overcooked, the flavors were nice.
*Duck confit sliders on mini brioche with cranberry relish- Unfortunately, the duck confit was not the star of this dish as it was dry and pretty much unappealing.  The cranberry relish would have been perfect to cut the richness of the duck, had the poultry lived up to expectations.
*Filet mignon bruschetta with fresh mozzarella, EVOO, and tomato-avocado salsa- the chunks of dry, cold filet really ruined this dish for me.  I did enjoy the mozzarella and the salsa.
*Hot capicola toasted ravioli with marscapone & ricotta cheese-crisp and perfectly flavored!  This dish saved my small tasting experience!

I may have to give the food another shot...
