A Brief Review: Woodman's, 121 Main St Essex, MA 01929

I walked into fried food heaven and survived with all coronary arteries patent and intact! It's truly a miracle!  The aroma upon entering this joint alone should come with a Lipitor prescription...
...seriously, the lobster roll (also known as our only non-battered dish) was impressive...lovely fresh chunks of lobster tail and claws with just the right amount of dressing. The bread was a tad bit on the bulky side, but this is forgiveable. The fried shrimp plate boasted a generous amount of lightly breaded shrimp accompanied by crispy fries and hand-breaded delicious golden onion rings. I wasn't a huge fan of the clam strips. They could benefit from more seasoning...perhaps I will bring a can of Old Bay in my hobo bag next time around.
