Dinner @Bella Luna, Jamaica Plain, MA +Dancing to Afrobeats Band

Ladies' Night out!  Bella Luna it is!  I've been to a charity event and one DJ'd event here, but never sat for a proper meal.  I was actually pretty happy with our choices.

Hanky Panky and a Sidecar...not a bad way to begin the evening:

HANKY PANKY and MANHATTAN cocktails

CINN CITY SIDECAR cinnamon-infused bourbon, orange liqueur, fresh muddles lemons with a sugared rim.
The Latin-style crispy cheese cake topped with shrimp, chorizo, and a fried quail egg was delicious-  great layered Latin flavors and brightly colored with hearty toppings over wilted greens.

The butternut squash soup was perfect on this chilly night.  It was warm and smooth with perfect Autumn spices.

Plantenero Bean Burger: Plantain-crusted cannellini & black bean burger seasoned w/ cumin, coriander & garlic w/ sweet potato fries
Though the polenta could have been creamier if served warmer, the classic Chicken Saltimbocca was perfect.  The generous portion of chicken breast was moist and sauteed with proscuiutto, sage, and fontina cheese, topped with diced bell peppers all over wilted greens and jus.

Then we danced the calories off  with a VERY cool Afro Beats Band!
