My colleagues and I had been anticipating the arrival of Clover Food Truck for the week prior to it's arrival. Multiple mass emails to all the food-lovers on campus (and beyond) revved up the excitement.
We ventured out in the dreary misty rain afternoon, hoping to beat 'the lunch crowd'.
We did pretty good with only one UPS guy beating us to the punch.

BBQ Seitan sandwich
Nice flavors. |

Clover truck clearly brings out the best in people. I hear this kind of sharing does not occur often in their household ;0) |
 |
Sweet Potato Salad (Cold). The sweet potatoes added a nice twist. This went especially well with the BBQ seitan sandwich....fresh ingredients...a must try. |
 |
Chickpea Fritter Sandwich. I loved the amazing layers of flavors throughout this soft pita sandwich: tzatziki sauce, pickled red cabbage, purple onion, hummus, and perfectly fried, light chickpea fritter. This sandwich is VERY filling! |
 |
Hibiscus Iced Tea: refreshing. Served only during warmer months. Clover serves loose leaf hot teas during the cooler months. |
 |
Spicy African peanut soup: Served in the colder months, this soup was fantastic! Nice spicy, rich base, topped with homemade sweet potato chips...a nice touch. |
 |
Rosemary Fries: Could have benefited from a bit more rosemary. Overall, a good side dish.
Honorable mention: Though I have yet to try this sandwich, I hear the Egg and Eggplant pita sandwich is worth a try!
