Grass Fed, 605 Center Street, Jamaica Plain, MA

The latest venture of  Krista Kranyak, owner of Ten Tables, Grass Fed is the newest 'burger joint' in JP, though it's more appropriately labeled 'an adult burger bar'.  With less than 20 seats, we are greatly anticipating GF's takeout license to be processed.

Tasty 'adult milkshakes' are served as well as bottled or canned beers (gluten free available) and organic wine by the glass or 1/2 liter.

Sandwiches:

Fish Po' boy (pictured below) with fried wild white fish with lettuce, tomato & Cajun aioli.  You can also get it with shrimp.

Also on the menu is a grilled hot dog made with all natural pearl beef with relish, kraut on a toasted buttered bun.
&
A grilled cheese sandwich to which you can add thick cut bacon and/or a farm egg!

The burger menu lists specialty creations like:

*The Cali Burger with avocado, pepper jack cheese, mesclun, shaved red onion & cilantro-lime aioli
 &
*The Blue Devil-with Stilton blue cheese, bacon, aioli & crispy fried onions

At 5 oz., these are NOT your average sized burgers!  The large patties are well-seasoned, moist, and served on a fresh, soft potato bread bun.

The Oyster Burger, a beef patty topped with two fried oysters and housemade tartar sauce was delicious!  I found the poutine to be bland and disappointing.  I have no idea why I continue to try poutine outside of Canada!

Grass fed creates its own condiments, none of which I found appealing at all.

Head into Grass Fed to see what their burger of the day will be.  Weekly specials can be found on their website: www.grassfedjp.com
