Mixologist Luis @ Michael Jordan's Steakhouse, Michigan Ave, Chicago, IL

Luis (who also tends bar at Carnivale, West Loop) was charming, talented and showed us a great time.  We were staying at the adjacent Intercontinental Hotel for a long weekend of restaurant hopping and The Taste of Chicago.

At the bar, we enjoyed both classics with a twist and creative cocktails whipped up by Luis!

Some even required a torch!

Wooden carving board used to torch orange slices for cocktails!

Luis showcasing his talent:

A beautiful classic whiskey ice stone...ready to meet the Armagnac Old Fashioned

We enjoyed:

The Sword & The Samurai made with Japanese whiskey, yuzu, jasmine green tea, and honey syrup.

The High Noon Cocktail made with bourbon, Benedictine, honey, lemon, and sarsaparilla soda.

The torched orange slice atop the Sword & Samurai was beautiful!

TWISTED CLASSICS:

The Armagnac Old Fashioned made with armagnac, orange oil, sugar, and peach bitters.

The Pisco Citrus made with Pisco, lime, grapefruit simple syrup, and egg white.

Visiting Luis at Micheal Jordan's Steakhouse on Magnificent Mile is a must when in Chicago!  You won't be disappointed!
