Dinner@ Stella's, 1525 Washington Street, Boston, MA

FINALLY, a proper meal at Stella's South End!

One of my good girlfriends here in Boston introduced me to this beautiful establishment around when the South End (Washington St.) popped up on my foodie radar!

Since then, I've been for appetizers and cocktails (once after the lovely Diner en Blanc event ...click for my review).

So I was uber excited when I went in for a full-fledged dinner!

The service at Stella is always on point.  On this particular evening, Chris treated us very well.  He was attentive, friendly, and efficient.

Starters:

The ever popular crudo misto...

...fresh thinly sliced sashimi of tuna and salmon in a biting lemoncello vinaigrette topped with a light, crisp breadstick and micro greens. A lovely dish!

Apparently craving raw dishes, I also ordered the Bistecca Tartare which was topped with a classic egg (soft fried) and served with cornichon and grilled foccacia.  It was delicious!

For my entree, I ordered and REALLY enjoyed the spectacular tender braised short rib over pappardelle topped with rich parmesan cream and chive oil!  The handmade, fresh pappardelle was lovely and the short rib practically melted on my tongue!

I also enjoyed the roasted cauliflower and grilled asparagus!

My companion, a purist when it comes to food, ordered grilled salmon which was seasoned and cooked perfectly, but a bit boring in presentation for me.

Dessert was ok.  The apple crostada was served warm over a rich caramel drizzle and vanilla gelato.

Stella's is a great place to meet for after work cocktails, dinner, brunch, or upscale late night snacks.

Service is always fantastic from the host(ess), bartenders, and servers to management!  It's truly jewel of the South End.
